Hollingworth Guitars - News
In August Graham and Cassie travelled to California to showcase Hollingworth Guitars at the world's premier exposition of hand made acoustic guitars, The Healdsburg Guitar Festival. With over 130 of the world's finest luthiers attending, it was an honour to be counted amongst them. The show was a great success and Graham's guitars were very well received. Graham took 3 different guitars to the show. The Small Body Acoustic, the 'Opal Rose' was a real standout, with it's unique Australian Opal inlays. It was certainly a 'One of A Kind' at the show. 'True Blue', a Small Body Acoustic with Quilted Maple back and sides, got her fair share of attention, and the 'Lap Dancer', Graham's own design Acoustic Lap Steel was a big hit amongst the Lap Steel players. Grammy Award winner, Ed Gerhard, played the Lap Dancer and was very impressed with the sound, and especially the response of the 3rd string - it really suits his style. Graham played all his guitars at a demonstration concert to a very appreciative audience. The guitars all looked and sounded great on stage. Graham and Cass had a fantastic weekend. "We had great time! We met some wonderful people and made some great new friends. It's so inspiring being surrounded by so many talented people and beautiful instruments. I picked up some great ideas and innovations that will be showing up in my guitars in the near future. We're looking forward to going back in 2009!"
